Frequently Asked Questions

What is your rate for counseling sessions?

My rate for a standard 60 minute session is $160. I offer longer sessions when appropriate and based on availability. Payment is required 24hours prior to each session. I accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.

Do you take insurance?

While I do not take insurance as a direct form of payment, it is possible for your session to be covered by your personal insurance, partly or in full, under your “out-of-network” benefits. Some insurance companies do not provide coverage for counseling, so be sure to contact your insurance provider to ask if you have coverage for counseling sessions. A receipt with my professional credentials and association membership follows each session.

How does online counseling work?

The primary goal for the first session is for me to listen to your concerns and for both of us to determine if working together would be a good fit. Based on the information you provide, I will make recommendations for the focus, frequency and length of counselling.

The strategies and approach used during counseling will be determined by your specific goals. Examples of goals in counseling may be:

  • Decrease feelings of anxiety and unwanted thoughts or behaviors.
  • Increase self-acceptance and self-confidence
  • Create and establish healthy boundaries in relationships
  • Increase ability to communicate in a healthy way
  • Explore beliefs about self, others
  • Explore and heal underlying issues including deep-rooted fears and insecurities

Counseling continues until you believe you have met your goals for the time being. No matter what brings you to counseling, most people walk away feeling more confident, free and supported as a result.

Areas of focus may include:

Relationship & Marriage Concerns

Navigating Singleness

Dating & Break Ups

Depression and Sadness

Anxiety, Fear, and Stress

Creating Healthy Boundaries

Communication Challenges

Major Life Changes

Discovering Your True Self and Purpose

Self esteem/Self-acceptance
